The tour helps visitors to appreciate the main features of this 16th century Medici fortress, together with the noteworthy elements of the temporary exhibition which is here hosted. Therefore, it is possible to get familiar with the story and the architectures of Forte San Giorgio – whose construction began in 1590 for the will of Ferdinando I de’ Medici, including the mysterious Treasury Hall – but also with the works of great contemporary artists, which every year enliven its spaces, enjoying a spectacular view on the city too.
